Main description
There's a particular joy in opening a fresh tin of colour, and this one doesn't disappoint. Our Vibrant Collection brings together 24 opaque, semi-solid watercolours chosen for their richness and their reliability, from soft Naples Yellow through to deep Prussian Blue, warm Indian Red, earthy Olive Green and a proper, dependable Lamp Black.
These are semi-solid paints, which simply means they sit somewhere between a traditional hard pan and a tube. A touch of water wakes them straight up into a smooth, creamy colour that lifts easily onto your brush. The pigment is finely ground and generous, so you get honest coverage, clean layering and colours that stay true rather than fading back or showing through.
Whether you're working up a landscape, a quiet botanical study or simply pottering in your sketchbook of an afternoon, this set gives you room to be bold. Mistakes forgive easily, layers build beautifully, and the tones blend into soft, natural transitions when you want them to.
What's in the tin
- 24 vivid, high-pigment colours: a considered palette covering the warms, cools, earths and neutrals you actually reach for, with real strength in every pan.
- Semi-solid and reactivatable: a little water is all it takes. Smooth, creamy application every time, with lovely opacity.
- Built to layer: strong, opaque colours that hold their own, so corrections, bold strokes and layered work all sit cleanly.
- A generous built-in palette: the extra-large mixing area gives you plenty of space to blend and test before you commit to the paper.
- A blank swatch card included: paint out your own reference chart so you always know exactly what each colour does. A small thing that makes a real difference.
Happy on almost any surface
The opaque, high-coverage formula takes readily to watercolour paper, canvas, wood and mixed-media surfaces, so you're free to experiment wherever the mood takes you.
Looking after your set
To keep everything in good order, store the tin flat with the front facing up rather than stood on its end or turned over. This keeps the colours settled and prevents any leaking. As these are semi-solid paints they can soften in warm conditions, so it's best to keep them below 40°C and out of direct sunlight. Treat them kindly and they'll serve you well for a long time.
You have 60 days after receiving your order to request a return, and returns postage is free: we send you a prepaid label, so sending something back costs you nothing.

Getting started
Give new brushes a gentle rinse before first use to settle the bristles, then blot dry
on a cloth. Load paint on the belly of the brush rather than pushing it into the ferrule
(the metal collar), that's what keeps a point sharp for years.
While you work
Don't leave brushes standing in water; it splays the bristles and loosens the ferrule.
Rest them flat instead, and rinse between colours.
Cleaning & storing
Rinse until the water runs clear, reshape the head with your fingers, and dry flat or
hanging down. Once fully dry, store them upright or rolled in a brush bag so nothing
presses on the tips.
