Our Vibrant Collection brings together 24 opaque, semi-solid watercolours chosen for their richness and their reliability, from soft Naples Yellow through to deep Prussian Blue, warm Indian Red, earthy Olive Green and a proper, dependable Lamp Black.

These are semi-solid paints, which simply means they sit somewhere between a traditional hard pan and a tube. A touch of water wakes them straight up into a smooth, creamy colour that lifts easily onto your brush. The pigment is finely ground and generous, so you get honest coverage, clean layering and colours that stay true rather than fading back or showing through.

Looking after your set

To keep everything in good order, store the tin flat with the front facing up rather than stood on its end or turned over. This keeps the colours settled and prevents any leaking. As these are semi-solid paints they can soften in warm conditions, so it's best to keep them below 40°C and out of direct sunlight. Treat them kindly and they'll serve you well for a long time.
